Wow the end of summer and the end of another Semester CIS 340A and CIS 406

Wos now I can honestly say that everything so far I have been able to relate to Army life in some way. For Security Management I have learned that sometimes the government does not care about certain things and as far as Network location security most of the locations I have visited are always the same and not secured. I have learned the steps necessary to take precations to protect my password and other PKI information since the Army network functions on a PKI infastructure with Certificates. Learning more about how to navigate the net more securely has really given me inspiration to take initiative and pass along this valuable information.

Telecommunications is not directly relateable to Army life, but it has helped me evaulate how things are going. The Army is still using old technology as far as telecommunications goes, but I have been exposed to it when I worked part time troubel shooting Internet. I have learned that telecommunications does not just relate to the phone is all also has to do with your network as many business use technology like the Avaya Phonesoft that bridges information coming on analog phone lines and is digitized so your customers information is automatically populated so to save you time. Now with the modern advances in this field more companies can start to save both time and money. I really enjoyed being apart of these classes and feel that I really learned a lot.
